Emotions in the laboratory. Research-creation residency in the lab of one of the international leaders in pressure control for scientific research, Elvesys Group.
Paris, October 2022
The artist Julien Ridouard and the international group Elvesys Innovation Center have concluded an agreement to develop a creative residency in a microfabrication laboratory dedicated to microfluidics.
The aim of the residency is to develop a dialogue with the material of the laboratory and the areas of emotional expression. The subject of the residency is a continuation of the work undertaken by the artist during a previous residency on microfluidic technologies for health, with Blackhole Lab: the areas of emotional expression on microfluidic chips (Art-On-Chip).
Elvesys is an innovative international company that develops and markets scientific equipment dedicated to microfluidics applications. It has a large research and innovation unit focused on research topics such as cell culture controlled by artificial intelligence, the development of organ-on-a-chip for the analysis of the effects of chemicals on cells, tissue culture for a better understanding of the effects of cancer…
The research-creation residency will start in December 2022 in Elvesys’ laboratories in the eleventh arrondissement of Paris.
